I’ve been in a little bit of a funk. Nothing major, just feeling unmotivated and lethargic. I set up some Behavioral Activations (BA’s, look it up, it is a DBT thing) and have been trying everything I know to get out of it. So far, it has been unsuccessful.
Well, I decided to invite a friend who is also in recovery over. We talked and she convinced me to go to a meeting later. It was good girl talk. We giggled and made plans for the meeting. I’m not quite out of the funk, but reaching out definitely helped. I’m glad she was able to come over and that she was so supportive despite the fact that she is going through some pretty icky stuff, too.
Moral of the blog post, reach out when you need it. It could make a difference in how you feel.
